Justin Bieber Wore Sweat Shorts to the World's Most Stylish Car Race

When in Monte Carlo... don't do this

Pop star, animal enthusiast, and, just like us, Gosling style fan Justin Bieber took in the F1 Grand Prix of Monaco this weekend in Monte Carlo. The race, which is regularly attended by European royalty and all manner of bespoke suited billionaires, also welcomed Bieber. Only, he was wearing a pair of cut off sweatpants, Adidas NMD triple white sneakers, and a Pearl Jam tie dye tee.

Even the most stylish of tailored shorts would veer into too casual for the Grand Prix of Monaco. So it should go without saying that sweat shorts, no matter how expensive, don't quite cut it. It's a look more appropriate for pool cleanings than attending one of the most prestigious sporting events in the world. Also, let's be real— Justin Bieber is definitely not a Pearl Jam fan. Does he sing "Jeremy" at the top of his lungs? You just know he does. But in 2016, even rock godfather Eddie Vedder knows how and when to suit-up.

We appreciate that Justin Bieber the artist has no choice but to live his most authentic sartorial life, even if that includes overall jorts, but we just wish he'd opted for something a little swankier at the flashy racing event. Let this be a lesson, though men's fashion is indeed getting more and more casual, there are still occasions that require some dressing up. Knowing what those are is half the battle.
