Why you should be nice to your marketing team!

OMG if I was Dov Charney I would be very very scared. A unpublished first time author has just been offering half a million advance to finish writing his book - about the CEO of American Apparel....hmm...where to start first?

The sexual abuse allegations? The failing company? The porno adverts? He certainly has a lot to work with!
The hot rumor is that the author of the book is the 24 year old director of marketing for American Apparel (so the person who approves those awful porn adverts) Ryan Holiday. If this is true, then the book which is entitled 'Confessions' will be just that - an account of the horrible goings on at one of the worst companies on the high street today. Is it wrong that I would totally read it?
 Some bloke involved with the whole thing (apparently) told Jezebel.com this : ' A publisher wouldn’t shell out that kind of money for a first time author unless there was dirt in it. I’m wondering if it is the first Dov Charney tell-all and they’re being secretive about it. My guess is that “expose” about the media stuff is a cover.'

Why do I have an inkling that this might be written with Charney's blessing and this could be media hype? I guess we will just have to wait....either way I am guessing that Charney will as usual just ride the storm...
