We've had a lot of moving around lately with Lanvin, YSL and Dior. Speculation about who is going where is at maximum peak gossip right now. But this latest one is madness all together!
Karl Lagerfeld leaving Chanel.
The original rumor back in 2010, was that Alber Elbaz from Lanvin was to take over Chanel once Kagerfeld retired. Which at 82, I think he has more then deserved. He has been running Chanel for 33 years which is incredible. I mean this is one guy running a whole series of houses and design projects. He is owed a sit down with a biscuit.
The latest rumor is that he will finally retire and the Elbaz will come in to replace him.
I could see it happen. The Lanvin lady under Elbaz and the Chanel lady under Lagerfeld are not a million miles apart. They both appreciate a nice dress and excellent tailoring. It could work.
It's interesting as the rumor mill can be hit or miss. Yes we have had a few that haven't worked out. After all, this started in 2010! But, recently, its been right with the rumor about Slimane and YSL. So lets see.....
